Teenovate: Turning Teen Ideas Into Impact

Teenovate is a hands-on, creativity-igniting program that trains teenagers to dream, design, and deliver bold ideas that solve real-world problems. It’s where curiosity meets action—and where every teen learns to think like an innovator, creator, and changemaker.

To cultivate an innovation mindset in teens by teaching them how to:

  • Identify problems around them

  • Generate creative ideas

  • Develop practical solutions

  • Collaborate, pitch, and build

Phase 1: Spark – Discovering the Innovator Within

Activities to help teens explore who they are, what excites them, and the power of ideas. Teach the basics of creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving. ✅ Tools: Icebreakers, journaling, dream mapping, and storytelling.

Phase 2: Spot – Identifying Real-World Problems

Teach teens how to observe their world and identify challenges in schools, homes, communities, or online. Use the "What bugs you?" method or community walk-throughs. ✅ Tools: Problem-mapping worksheets, empathy interviews, group brainstorming.

Phase 3: Solve – Idea Generation Techniques

Introduce techniques like: Mind Mapping SCAMPER (Substitute, Combine, Adapt…) “How Might We…” questions Let them work in teams or solo to come up with bold, crazy, or clever ideas. ✅ Tools: Innovation labs, sticky note brainstorming, digital idea boards.

Phase 4: Shape – Turn Ideas Into Concepts

Guide them to choose one idea and develop it further. Teach them how to validate, refine, and prototype it using simple models. ✅ Tools: Canva for mockups, cardboards for models, slides for ideas.

Phase 5: Show – Pitch and Present

Teens pitch their ideas to a panel (parents, mentors, peers). Celebrate effort, creativity, and growth—not just success. ✅ Tools: Pitch decks, storytelling practice, peer reviews.

By the end of Teenovate, every teen should walk away believing:
